BABY DEDICATIONS
Many couples contact us after their wedding requesting to
have their baby Baptized, Christened or Named.
We’re also happy to offer this service to couples who may not
be formally married but who have a child together, or for those
who are raising children in a blended living relationship.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BAPTISM,
a CHRISTENING and a NAMING CEREMONY?
Aside from the language used, all of them are warm welcoming
ceremonies celebrating the arrival of your child and
welcoming them to the greater community.
All of them are ceremonies at which the new parents, grandparents
or others commit themselves to welcoming the child
and to helping raise your new arrival.
CAN WE INVOLVE FAMILY IN THE CEREMONY?
Absolutely! Not only do we encourage the involvement of family
and friends, but we invite you to edit or choose the ceremony
wording that expresses your own thoughts and commitments.
WHAT DO WE SAY IN A NON-RELIGIOUS CEREMONY?
If you feel comfortable promising to comfort your child
when distressed, to laugh with them when happy,
to keep them clothed, sheltered and protected
and to try in every way possible to raise them
in such a way that they will feel loved and secure,
then you'll be comfortable with the civil ceremony,
which is without religious language.
DOES A NON-RELIGIOUS CEREMONY DENY OUR CHILD
ANY FUTURE CHOICES?
Your child receives the same benefits arising out of
a denominational Christening or Baptism.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
We emphasize that in our service, children are baptized into
the Christian faith, not into any particular church or denomination,
and as such, outside of their parents’ beliefs, they’re not
bound to follow any particular teaching.
Plus, should your child later make a personal decision to unite with
a faith community of their own choice, they can
present themselves as a fully Baptized/Christened person.
Additionally, as proof of the ceremony, we present your child
with a stamped, signed and witnessed Certificate suitable
for framing, one that is recognized and
acknowledged by all Churches.
WHERE CAN WE HOLD THE CEREMONY?
At a location of your choice.
Many decide on an in-home ceremony and invite their family
and friends to gather and celebrate the birth of their child.
Most parents also make a video too so they can re-visit the
moment and share it with their child later in life.
From time to time, the family have even asked me to integrate
the Baptism Ceremony into their Wedding Ceremony.
HOW LONG IS THE CEREMONY?
Schedule 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the ceremony you choose.
HOW OLD SHOULD THE CHILD BE?
You can decide to have the ceremony as soon as the child is born
but from past experience, we know mothers usually feel
more comfortable from the 6-week point onward.
HOW ABOUT OLDER CHILDREN? OR ADULTS?
We'll be happy to perform a Ceremony at any point in your life.
There's no age limit out there for renewing your faith in
yourself, your family, or your Creator.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
AND WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Upon reserving a date and time with a $100.00 deposit ...
We'll send you a sample ceremony that you may personalize
to reflect your own style, values, and personal spirituality.
You have our experience choreographing elements of
your own cultural or religious background into the ceremony.
We'll speak as often as you like by telephone to discuss
implementing YOUR vision of the Welcoming
of your special gift of life.
We also provide you with a signed, stamped and witnessed
Certificate (plus colour copy) suitable for framing.
Honourarium = $290.00
WHAT ABOUT TWINS, OR MORE THAN ONE CHILD
CHRISTENED OR BAPTIZED PER CEREMONY?
We do that quite often, and it’s only $20.00 more per child
when performed during the same ceremony.

you and your Family will look back on with
Pride, Joy and Nostalgia for a Lifetime.
